Integrated Security Solutions Business Development Manager in Kalispell, Montana

GENERAL SUMMARYResponsible for overseeing the implementation of business objectives among the company’s sales, marketing, and business development program. Duties include comparing current sales numbers to desired quotas, delegating sales and marketing tasks among team members and meeting with upper management to discuss progress.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONSMaintaining current client relationships and identifying areas for potential clientsContacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with themDevelop new sales areas and improving sales through various methodsResearch the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand businessCollaborate with sales and design team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goalsStrong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitiveProficiency in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Project)Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (desirable)KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSFacilitate discussions to bid or not to bidEstablish and collaborate with the capture management teamIdentify client priorities and win themesCreate and execute a proposal project planConduct market and competitor researchHold kick-off and debrief meetingsAct as point of contact for prospectsGather and send follow-up and clarifying questions to the buyerManage the proposal team (anyone contributing to RFPs)Ensure proposals and presentations are brand compliantReport proposal progress to executive managementSubmit final proposal for considerationMaintain the RFP response databasePrioritize RFPs based on likelihood of winning and valueTrack RFP data and win rateEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (8+ years of demonstrable experience in a similar position can be substituted for education)SUPERVISIONPosition reports directly to the Operations Officer and is under his/her general direction. Position will require the ability to manage a team of existing GSA Assistant and Proposal Writers.LANGUAGE SKILLSCommunicates effectively in both oral and written communications. Builds partnership with customers and vendors by regularly demonstrating a high level of expertise and professionalism. Works as part of a team by contributing to Company goals, offering input, and pursuing new ideas.REASONING ABILITYIdentifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to identify measures or indicators of business development performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the company. Ability to produce results inside tight deadlines restraints. Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position may require lifting up to 25 pounds.WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this position the employee regularly works in an office environment with low to moderate noise in the work environment.
