Logan Health CDL Driver & Patient Care Assistant | Mammography Coach in Kalispell, Montana

Are you looking for a truly unique and rewarding career that blends technical skills, patient care, and travel? Join our Mobile Mammography team as a CDL Driver & Patient Care Assistant and play a vital role in bringing life-saving breast cancer screening services to communities across Montana!

Our Mission: Quality, compassionate care for all.

Our Vision: Reimagine health care through connection, service and innovation.

Our Core Values: Be Kind | Trust and Be Trusted | Work Together | Strive for Excellence.

Why This Role is Exceptional

This isn’t just a driving job! You’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining a state-of-the-art mobile mammography coach, ensuring it reaches each destination safely and is fully operational for patient care. In addition to transporting the unit, you’ll be an integral part of the patient experience, assisting with scheduling, patient transport, and data entry, all while supporting the mammography technologists in delivering high-quality imaging services.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely drive and operate the mobile mammography unit to outreach locations across Montana, including setting up the unit upon arrival.

  • Oversee equipment maintenance —monitor generators, data connections, and HVAC systems to ensure everything is running smoothly.

  • Assist with patient care —help patients from the mobile unit to the hospital, provide support for check-in, and manage paperwork and reports.

  • Perform administrative tasks —data entry, scheduling assistance, and managing patient records.

  • Collaborate with the mammography technologists to ensure smooth workflow and patient experience.

  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment – Ensure patient areas remain clean and sanitary, including both interior spaces and exterior surfaces. This role involves regular travel to the truck wash for exterior cleaning. Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed to support efficient operations.

What Makes You a Great Fit?

  • CDL License (Class A or B) with a clean driving record. Experience driving large vehicles is preferred, but we’re open to those who have recently earned their CDL.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. You’ll be responsible for keeping the mobile unit fully functional and addressing any issues that arise.

  • Excellent people skills and compassion. You’ll be interacting with patients who may be nervous or anxious, so a warm and reassuring presence is key.

  • Tech-savvy and detail-oriented. Comfort with computers and data entry is necessary, as you’ll assist with patient check-in, scheduling and billing.

  • Reliability and flexibility. This role requires staying overnight (sometimes multiple nights) while on the road, often leaving Sundays to ensure timely Monday morning setups.

    Your Schedule & Travel

  • Travel to outreach locations, with the longest route reaching Malta, MT (7 hours away) and the shortest to Eureka, MT (just over an hour).

  • Typical workweeks are 3-4 days of travel, with varying schedules based on facility needs.

  • Overnight stays are common, with accommodations provided.

  • Drivers are compensated for travel time, setup, and patient care assistance, with meal per diems included while on the road.

    Why You’ll Love This Job

  • Impactful Work: Help deliver essential mammography and bone density screenings to women in rural areas.

  • Dynamic & Engaging: No two days are the same—travel across the state, meet new people, and work with cutting-edge medical equipment.

  • Supportive Team Environment: Work closely with technologists, medical staff, and community members.

  • Competitive Pay & Benefits: Enjoy a role that offers both stability and adventure!
