Kalispell Regional Healthcare COVID Testing Technician and Screener - PRN in Kalispell, Montana
The Testing Technician and Screener collaborates with patients, families and care partners across all disciplines and departments to perform basic patient care and administrative tasks.
*Screens patients and/or visitors per current COVID algorithm.
*Listens to concerns and provides clear guidelines for current requirements.
*Escorts patient and/or visitor to appropriate destination. Escorting may also consist of assistance with a wheelchair, walker, etc.
*Exhibits a professional and team player attitude in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
*Exhibits great customer service skills and works effectively with a diverse population.
*Performs all aspects of the registration process in accordance with the type of scheduled care/service being rendered.
*Instructs and/or observes COVID nares swab collection for appropriate competency.
*Accurately collects, prepares and documents specimen collection including COVID nares swabs.
*Timely transports specimens to the lab and restocks supplies as necessary.

Previous experience within a healthcare environment preferred.
Possess professional communication skills and work effectively with a diverse population.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. Ability to problem-solve and adapt to a changing environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Proven ability to take initiative, exercise independent judgement, and proactively problem solve.
Understanding of the confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, included but not limited to HIPPAA guidelines.
