Logan Health Executive Director - Flight & Ground EMS Operations in Kalispell, Montana

Job Description Summary:

This position will provide overall vision, direction, and management of the Billings Clinic – Logan Health System Mobile Healthcare System (MHS), consisting of both flight and ground operations. This position will ensure the highest level of clinical care while maintaining a sustainable and successful operation.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, public health administration, emergency medical services or related field required.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in general emergency medical and medical transportation experience required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in emergency medical and medical transportation services management required.

  • Experience with vision and mission development, budget preparation, resource utilization, cost/benefit analysis, quality improvement methods, clinical provision, a thorough knowledge of multi-tiered EMS systems, and all levels of medical transportation services required.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ leadership experience required.

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Provides leadership for the assigned area(s) within the organization.

  • Responsible for all management aspects of Mobile Healthcare (emergency medical and non-EMS medical transportation services).

  • Develops and adequately communicates the vision of the organization.

  • Interfaces with leadership and appropriate Billings Clinic – Logan Health executives to coordinate and lead the Mobile Healthcare System at all business, financial and operational levels.

  • Responsible for budget preparation and maintenance for department and system services.

  • Monitors the financial performance and condition of the assigned area(s) and takes corrective action as necessary to maintain fiscal sustainability.

  • Develops necessary policies and procedures to effectuate the successful administration and operation of assigned area(s).

  • Acts as the liaison for the organization with the supporting foundations providing philanthropy for operations.

  • Assesses effectiveness and sustainability utilizing appropriate benchmarking and analytic methods.

  • Performs statistical analysis of the business, operational, and financial performance for assigned area(s).

  • Implements and maintains appropriate organizational Key Performance Indicators.

Schedule:

The Health System operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
