Kalispell Regional Healthcare HR Generalist in Kalispell, Montana
The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting the needs of the HR department and the organization. Carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, training and performance management, on boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
*Administers various human resource programs and procedures as assigned for all company personnel.
*Edits and updates HR policies and procedures as requested. Provides research and assistance in developing new policies as assigned.
*Participates in the administration of the compensation program. Monitors the performance evaluation program and works closely with the team to revise as necessary.
*Performs benefits administration support to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
*Contributes to the development and maintenance of the affirmative action program, files reports annually and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
*Assists in production, evaluation and analysis of necessary reports. Contributes to the decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed
*Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Completes HR projects as assigned
*Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three (3) year’s of experience preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of federal and state employment and wage and hour regulations. Montana experience preferred.
HR Certification or the ability to acquire certification highly preferred.
Strong analytical and organizational skills required.
Possess ability to execute multiple tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining confidentiality.
Able to deal with stressful situations competently, effectively and courteously.
Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required. Experience with Meditech and/or API preferred.
