Whitefish Credit Union Loan Servicing Representative in Kalispell, Montana

Position Title: Loan Service Representative

Organizational Relationships: Reports to Commercial Loan Servicing Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

General Function: Receive phone calls and assist members with a wide variety of concerns and questions regarding general loan information including but not limited to payments, rates, and product options. Work with all levels of Whitefish Credit Union Employees, Loan Officers, and Senior Management to ensure policies and procedures are met while maintaining quality, efficient, working relationships. Report to Commercial Loan Servicing Manager.

Position Functions:

  • Receive phone calls and assist members with miscellaneous member service issues including but not limited to credit card issues, general loan questions, payment application/calculation questions, loan product options and rates (for modifications), etc.

  • Receive and properly apply loan payments received via mail or in the Branch.

  • Prepare loan modifications based on member request for consumer and mortgage loans following WCU procedures and policy and coordinate member signing of said documents.

  • Research, resolve, and respond to member disputes, including loan recast requests. Write correspondence to loan members as needed.

  • Communicate effectively with all lending staff to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions and strategies.

  • Make action recommendations to Commercial Loan Servicing Manager or Credit Admin Manager as appropriate and assist with special projects as needed.

  • Follow all Whitefish Credit Union, Montana and Federal information privacy guidelines.

  • Adhere to, and oversee Departmental adherence to, all Whitefish Credit Union policies and procedures.

  • Report to work on time and as scheduled.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and over the phone, with Members, Manager, President / CEO, Members, Volunteers, Co-workers, and Senior Management Team.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Ability to manage time and resources.

  • Ability and willingness to work with a variety of office equipment and software systems.

  • NMLS number or ability to obtain one required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or banking preferred but not required.

  • 1-2 years professional experience in loan operations or lending environment preferred but not required.
