Immanuel Lutheran Communities Maintenance Technician I in Kalispell, Montana

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Technician provides basic through advanced computer operational and software assistance to employee, resident & guest users; resolves operational problems; performs preventative maintenance; and is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintain computer, communication and entertainment systems. They troubleshoot network connectivity, application security and other issues. They train users on effective use of EMR and other IT systems. They have direct support contact with residents & guests, and thus have a direct impact of resident & guest satisfaction.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Be an active leader in making a safe & hospitable home for our guests and residents, creating and maintain a safe workplace, and working safely.

  • Take an active role in see that the Facilites team is effective. Train, support and encourage their peers' and their own continues development related to their role and ILC's systems.

  • Be predictably present at the Immanuel campus, or off-site when performing ILC duties. Be accessible to others to share information and to participate in shared work.

  • Participate in the effective implementation & functioning of business intelligence, data analytics and decision support tools.

  • participate in planning and doing the hands-on work

  • Work collaboratively across ILC departments to identify and support our campus.

  • Stay current on existing and emerging technology trends to ensure the provision of sustainable, cost effective, and user friendly

  • Provide frequent hand-on support with installing repairs, de-bugging, modifications and troubleshooting.

  • Occasional responses to related problems at night and on weekends may be required including returning to the ILC campus and performance hands-on work.

  • Other duties, as assigned and/or as beneficial to ILC's mission.

Requirements

  • Success in similar role

  • Some formal education in computer science and relevant experience

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skill required

  • Demonstrated skill and tact in assisting others who are less knowledgeable

  • Must be able to move to all areas of the campus, in all weather conditions, at all hours.
