Kalispell Regional Healthcare Mammography Technologist in Kalispell, Montana
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for taking mammography images, DXA scans, and assisting patients through the procedures. This position will alternate between working on a traveling coach and a fixed imaging center providing breast imaging and bone density (DXA) services.
*Performs arrival duties to include, but not limited to; QC testing, ensures schedules are correct and all paper work is ready for patients.
*Properly identifies and prepares patient for exam. Explains exam to patient and strives to ensure complete patient comfort.
*Obtains meaningful history for reason of procedure and other exam related information.
*Processes images and prepares cases for radiologist review and completes computer work and related paperwork based on department protocol.
*Ensures the patient understands the results from the radiologist and any options available.
*Performs end-of-day duties per policies and procedures. Ensures work areas are completely ready for the next business day.
*Retrieves schedules from sites prior to day of service. Schedules and registers patients in the designated system for necessary transfer of information and work flow.
*Participates in the annual review of current procedure manual and/or protocols for all procedures performed within the section. Assists the manager and other team members in preparing ACR and FDA accreditation material.

Graduate of accredited school of Radiological Technology.
Current ARRT certification and Mammography certification required.
Must have a valid Montana State license in Radiological Technology.
Minimum of one (1) year full time experience as a Mammography Technologist.
Must have a valid State of Montana Driver’s license.
BLS certification required.
