Glacier Stone Supply Mill Laborer in Kalispell, Montana

Glacier Stone Supply LLC is looking to fill 12 Mill Laborer Positions in . This is a temporary, fulltime position starting on 3/25/2025 and ending on 11/15/2025Sort split rock species of various size and weight, inspecting for quality and/or dimensions prior to separating into appropriate product specific bins. Stack quality rock species, including specific thin veneer, ledge, and/or over-size ledge onto pallets according to pre-approved purchase order specifications. Perform pre-startup inspection of the raw & Splitter Department floor to ensure area is clear of hazards, while communicating species specific bin needs for each stationary hydraulic splitter to Fork Lift Operator. Utilize conveyor system to sort various cut rock species, inspecting for appropriate width and length dimensions. Communicate to Fork Lift Operator which bin(s) are ready for weighing and distribution to associated department for further processing. Communicate with Fork Lift Operator and/or Quality Control Manager when completed pallets are ready for weighing and transfer to the Inventory/Loading Yard. Communicate any rock deficiencies to the Saw or Splitter Operator. Perform all clean-up and housekeeping duties at the end of shift to include sweeping, shoveling, disposal of misc. debris and/or garbage within department. Utilize chop saw and/or splitters on rocks. Occasionally, perform other related labor duties as needed. Maintain extreme focus on safety and productivity. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves extensive standing, sitting or walking. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Involves repetitive movements.. Optional, shared housing available on a first-come, first-serve basis for $340 every 2 weeks. Transportation to work site may be available from optional employee housing. Employer offers discretionary pay advances. Possibility of performance based raise, bonuses, overtime and Saturdays as required. . 60 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day. Employer WILL NOT deduct rent from pay. Deductions will not drop the overall wage below the UDSOL minimum, if the deductions are too great they will not be made. Daily hours may vary between start and end times listed depending on weather or job assignments.Terms and Conditions of Employment: $22.05 to $24.05 per hour. Minimum of 40 hours per week - Mon-Fri (with a possibility of Sat.), 7:00:00 AM to 3:00:00 PM (schedules may vary). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate is $33.075 to $36.075. Possibility of Performance based raise. On the job training provided.Transportation: Employer will provide advance transportation costs for most economical common carrier for workers, either foreign or domestic, to place of employment from place of recruitment and reimburse subsistence when worker completes 50% of the work period. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence to be reimbursed at a minimum amount of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per 24 hour period (with receipts) of travel.Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.Tools, Equipment and Supplies: Employer will provide all tools and supplies, without charge or deposit, necessary to perform job duties. On the Job Training Provided. Miscellaneous: Employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due; pay is Bi-Weekly.Miscellaneous: Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law unless agreed to. H-2B Workers who paid visa, border and or other visa related fees, including those mandated by the government, will be reimbursed by employer in the first workweek.
