Logan Health Pharmacy Systems Analyst in Kalispell, Montana

Job Description Summary:

This position serves as a technology resource for pharmacy information systems. Responsibilities include planning and design of business solutions and resources needed to meet business goals, implementation, and management of system configurations. Provides technical expertise as a consultant to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) of the following required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Services and must successfully obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician license within twelve (12) months of hire.

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician with a preferred five (5) years’ work experience and minimum of two (2) years IV experience.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience involving the implementation, establishment, updating and maintenance of information systems preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Serves as the primary technology resource for the pharmacy information systems. Coordinates closely with leadership, staff, Information Services (IS), and software vendors in the planning and design of business solutions and resources to meet business goals and objectives.

  • Oversees system configurations and coordinates implementation of system expansions, upgrades, and enhancements in conjunction with software vendors, IS, and impacted systems within Logan Health (LH).

  • Acts as a liaison with the user community and software vendor to identify concerns regarding the overall performance of the pharmacy systems.

  • Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations and/or takes appropriate corrective action to resolve problems with the internal functionality of the system.

  • Provides the software vendor with recommendations for system enhancements, detailed information regarding technical or functionality problems, and coordinates implementation.

  • Provides technical support and acts as a resource responding to procedural questions regarding system functionality and technical interaction with other LH system applications.

  • Participates in short- and long-term planning and budgetary processes. Evaluates and recommends enhancement needs for pharmacy information systems and related technology strategies.

  • Develops and provides a variety of reports in response to leadership requests.

  • Provides recommendations for resource allocations to meet business goals with system solutions.

  • Participates in developing policies and procedures regarding access and utilization of the pharmacy information systems.

  • Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality. Participates in revising information flow and processes.

  • Maintains knowledge of information technology as it relates to pharmacy information systems.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
