Job Description Summary:
Logan Health is looking for a Pharmacy Technician Liaison to join its Specialty Pharmacy team in Kalispell, MT.

This position provides integrated support to patients and pharmacists by providing a 'hands-on" approach to total quality patient care. Works closely with patients to deliver a full continuum of medication adherence support by utilizing various tools and applications.
Qualifications:
Montana Pharmacy Technician licensure required.
Minimum of two (2) years Pharmacy Technician experience required.
Nationally certified as a CPhT or equivalent preferred.
Possess knowledge of transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease (including HIV), and/or oncology preferred.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word required. Possess ability to quickly learn other software programs and extract relevant information required.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
Provides professional customer care to hospital patients by providing a full suite of custom medication management services.
Works collaboratively with clinicians to serve patients.
Educates prospective pharmacy patients on how hospital serves patients and improves overall care.
Supports outpatient retail and specialty prescription medication needs.
Strives to grow the specialty pharmacies patient population per department protocol.
Ensures patients remain on track with medication regimens, outbound therapy/medication adherence check-ups, and secures refill prescriptions.
Communicates effectively with stakeholders regarding: the refill report, the zero-fill report, the monthly outstanding report and the appointment list.
Assists leadership in the development of new processes to ensure smooth operations and patient care.
Identifies medications requiring special storage and/or handling such as hazardous medications and/or refrigerated medications.
Performs refill reminder calls under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Resolves insurance related issues, including prior authorizations (PAs), and assists patients with various forms of financial assistance.
Ensures appropriate documentation in required systems/tracking mechanisms.
Oversees, organizes, and updates relevant data using database applications.
In collaboration with leadership, applies observations and recommendations to operational issues, increased productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
Acts as a value-added business partner to stakeholders throughout the organization.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining networks, and/or participating in professional organizations.

Schedule:
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
