We currently have the opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team in Kalispell, MT.
Stimulated by company growth, we are looking to add a Project Engineer to our team. This role will provide support to our project managers and additional project support to our teams. A successful candidate is driven, a self-starter, knowledgeable, and has the experience to quickly adapt and add value to our team. They will also need to be able to acclimate quickly in our high-paced environment.
Key Functions
Assist Project Managers with managing of public/private construction projects (road improvements, storm drain, sewer, water, and earth work) ranging from $50k to $30 million
Produce project submittals, RFI’s, subcontracts and purchase orders
Fully understand and analyze drawings, details and specifications
Perform project pay estimates and invoicing
Track quantities, budgets and project costs
Perform takeoffs and coordinate material deliveries
Develop and update project schedules
Perform field measurements and inspections
Complete permit applications and utility locate requests
Attend and facilitate project progress meetings
Support field personnel
Enforce safety and quality policies
Apply general knowledge of equipment
Work closely with the various leaders and support teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering technology is preferred
Minimum of 1-3 years of project engineering experience is preferred
Specific Skills
Proven working experience in project administration
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite
Team oriented with the ability to work independently when necessary
Work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations
Positive attitude and passion for construction projects
Consistent work ethic and a desire to grow
