Integrated Security Solutions Project Engineering Manager in Kalispell, Montana
Integrated Security Solutions, Inc is seeking a full-time on-site Engineering Manager for our office in Kalispell, Montana.GENERAL SUMMARYTo provide research, design, cost estimation, development, and testing of integrated security systems for Integrated Security Solutions, Inc.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONSSupervise/Manage engineering staff to simultaneously complete multiple project requirements.Analyze customer information, required formats, cost constraints and security restriction needs to determine best solution for and their applications. Make recommendations using existing systems and equipment where applicable and designing new integrated security systems when required.Develop documentation packages and partner with operations to plan and support system installation.Direct, review and approve product design and changes.Provide cost estimates for customer provided specifications and or drawings for project proposals.Provide technical expertise in the development of test procedures to monitor functioning of equipment while ensuring that the system operates in conformance with specifications.Consult with the Director of Operations and the Managerial Team on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software design and maintenance.Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities and status updates.Confer with customer representatives, vendors, company management and staff to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.Perform other related duties as assigned. This position requires occasional travel (approximately 30%).KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Working knowledge of electronic security equipment, computer hardware and software, network infrastructure including applications and system programming is required.Must be knowledgeable in OSHA standards and use of safety equipment on specific projects.Knowledge of laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations and agency rules and regulations as related to Electronic Security Design and Installation.This position requires periodic drug testing, a valid driver’s license, background check and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEThe ideal person will have an Electrical Engineering Degree, 5 years of project management experience, and ten years of engineering experience with experience in supervising a team. Experienced with AutoCAD, reading and interpret drawings, and extensive experience in assembly and organization of drawing packages. Must be able to prepare engineering drawings. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and Teams.Experience and with databases is also helpful.SUPERVISIONPosition reports directly to the Director of Operations and is under his/her general direction. Position will require the ability to manage a team of existing engineers, estimators, and CAD operators.LANGUAGE SKILLSCommunicates effectively in both oral and written communications. Builds partnership with customers and vendors by regularly demonstrating a high level of expertise and professionalism. Works as part of a team by contributing to Company goals, offering input and pursuing new ideas.REASONING ABILITYIdentifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system. Ability to produce results inside tight deadlines restraints. This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent bending, walking, standing, climbing, twisting or reaching.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position is based in the Integrated Security Solutions Headquarters in Kalispell, Montana. Remote work is not permitted.While performing the duties of this position the employee regularly works in an office environment with low to moderate noise in the work environment. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions that are above 100 degrees or below 0 degrees. Wearing of safety clothing and equipment may at times be required.
