Kalispell Regional Healthcare Rehabilitation Therapy Aide - Physical Therapy in Kalispell, Montana

Overview

Performs under the direction and supervision of licensed physical and/or occupational therapists. Readies patients for therapy and assists with patient treatment and care. Performs administrative tasks that consist of billing, inventory and maintaining the department in an orderly condition.

Responsibilities

  1. *Assists in the delivery of patient’s treatment and care in an organized, efficient manner. Performs all duties in compliance with department policies, protocols, procedures and within scope of practice.

  2. *Administers and/or assists therapy treatment to patients relative to age, culture and conditions.

  3. *Maintains inventory of therapy supplies and ensures proper billing.

  4. *Tracks charges for all billing units within Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy.

  5. *Responds to a changing workload in a positive and professional manner. Remains calm, makes objective assessments, prioritizes, and asks for assistance.

  6. *Participates in projects within the department, the facility and the community to enhance rehabilitation services.

  7. *Assists with computer data entry and other administrative tasks to assist in the day to day operations.

Qualifications

1.

  1. Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

  2. Previous experience within a rehabilitation setting or nursing service preferred.

  3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required. Possess a willingness to work with handicapped adults in a rehabilitation setting.

  4. Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, and ability to learn other software as needed.

  5. Current HCP CPR certification required.
