We are currently accepting applications for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team!The Registered Nurse position provides professional nursing care to patients and residents on the Long Term Care Unit at Marias Care center during his/her assigned shift. This care shall be rendered in a safe and effective manner that is consistent with the center’s policies and procedures.


  1. *Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, civility, teamwork and customer service while undertaking all tasks and interactions with others.

  2. *Exhibits knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to the RN’s specific job duties, patient care and safety.

  3. *Exhibits knowledge of staffing standards and a demonstrated commitment to cost containment with all resources.

  4. *Operates and maintains equipment to departmental standards.

  5. *Maintains nursing standards of care and executes appropriate provider orders. While executing patient care, demonstrates knowledge of and maintains the patient’s right to diversity, privacy and confidentiality.

  6. *Performs a comprehensive assessment of patient on admission and assessment or reassessment at regular intervals appropriate for the condition of the patient or as ordered by the provider.

  7. *Administers medications, treatment, provider specific care to patients in compliance with facility and nursing policies/procedures.

  8. *Communicates all appropriate and critical changes in the patient’s condition, status and findings to the appropriate provider in a timely manner or as defined by policies and procedures and/or provider orders.

  9. *Documents all clinical findings and required regulatory mandates in the medical chart in compliance with facility policies and procedures or as defined by regulatory requirements.

  10. *Completes and demonstrates competencies/currency in required yearly unit competencies and education requirements as defined by the facility, Resident Care Manager and Director of Nursing.

  11. *Complies with and maintains regulatory compliance requirements as defined for the nursing care on the unit and according to facility standards.

  12. *Reviews and updates resident care plans and CNA flow sheets as necessary and as assigned in compliance with regulations.

  13. *Other duties assigned and appropriate to the position.

  14. *If RN is assigned charge nurse responsibility, he/she will provide the oversight of staff and patient care:

  15. Coordinates the delivery of patient care in a professional manner in compliance with facility policies and procedures

  16. Determines patient assignments and delegates duties according to appropriate patient acuity and skill mix of the staff.

  17. Coordinates the staffing requirements with Resident Care Manager, staffing scheduler, and/or Director of Nursing.

  18. Communicates with staff to provide immediate feedback to correct deviations from policies and procedures.

  19. Communicates with the Resident Care Managers and documents any unusual events that occurred during the shift. This shall include, but is not limited to; exceptional teamwork, professionalism, accidents, injuries, safety issues, deviation from appropriate patient care, breaches in professionalism, staffing abnormalities, special circumstances, and variances from policy and procedure.

  20. Provides feedback regarding staff performance for on-going staff improvement and performance evaluations.

  21. Assists the staff, coaches the staff, and provides professional nursing care to the patients on the unit. Assesses and anticipates the needs of the patient and coordinates the necessary interventions as defined by policy, procedure, and the written/verbal orders of the provider.

  22. Participates in unit activities necessary to maintain unit productivity and patient care. Monitors the use and function of equipment. Monitors and assists the staff in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.


  1. Current Montana RN license required.

  2. BSN degree preferred.

  3. Current Healthcare Provider BLS.

  4. Skilled nursing care experience preferred.
