Your Role in Our Success

We're excited to welcome an experienced Screed/Paver Operator to our Kalispell team. You'll work with cutting-edge equipment including our 655 CAT and 1055 CAT paving machines, both featuring advanced Topcon System 5 grade control technology. This is your chance to showcase your expertise in surface finishing, seam work, and edge perfection, while being part of projects that make a lasting impact on our communities.

What You'll Do

  • Take the lead in operating screed equipment to create flawless surfaces that meet our high-quality standards

  • Use your skills with Topcon controls to achieve perfect depth, grade, and finished cross-sections

  • Guide our team of dump truck operators to ensure smooth material delivery

  • Put your craftsmanship on display while operating within designated areas

  • Share your expertise with the team and grow into additional responsibilities

  • Be a champion for safety by following our comprehensive safety protocols

What You Bring to the Team

  • 2+ years of hands-on labor experience (construction background is a plus!)

  • A knack for mechanics and problem-solving

  • Enthusiasm to learn and operate various types of equipment

  • Strong communication skills and excellent time management

  • A can-do attitude and team-player mentality

  • Flexibility for different shifts and occasional travel adventures

Physical Requirements

We're looking for team members who can:

  • Handle the physical demands of construction work, including lifting 50-75 lbs

  • Stay active throughout the day with various movements and positions

  • Work comfortably with tools and equipment

  • Navigate construction sites safely and confidently

  • Embrace Montana's diverse weather conditions

  • Perform repetitive movements like bending, kneeling, squatting, and twisting.

  • Sit or stand for long periods and navigate uneven terrain.

  • Work outdoors in all types of weather and noisy environments.

  • Frequent sitting

  • Occasional push/pull

  • Rarely bending/stooping

  • Rarely climbing

  • Occasional reaching

  • Continuous grasping equipment controls

  • Occasional fine manipulation

  • Frequent use of Foot controls
