Job Description Summary:
This position works closely with leadership regarding strategic planning, program development, continuous quality improvement and financial/budget reporting and monitoring. Responsible for supervising and coordinating staff and activities to ensure optimum patient service for assigned area(s). Responsible for workflow, performance, regulatory compliance, and the overall supervision of assigned area(s) operations to achieve exceptional care, superb service, and maximal physician/staff productivity. In collaboration with leadership meets financial and quality benchmarks and operational oversight of the assigned outpatient programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business related field preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Additional qualifications vary by work location:
Cardiac and/or Pulmonary Rehabilitation:
Minimum of two (2) years’ Cardiac and/or Pulmonary experience required.
ACLS must be successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire.
Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience required. Experience in a physician practice or healthcare related leadership position preferred.
Strong business financial skills and demonstrated financial and budgetary experience preferred.
Skill in researching, preparing, interpreting and presenting comprehensive reports and spreadsheets preferred.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed. Experience in medical software and applications preferred.
Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulations and requirements and HIPAA guidelines preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Job Specific Duties:
Supervises the day-to-day operating needs of the assigned area(s).
Ensures optimum patient care services from initial contact to close of services. Works with leadership to respond to patient concerns, fosters an environment of immediate service recovery and transparency for patient billing, questions and issues. Drives culture to improve patient experience, service and access.
Establishes processes in collaboration with leadership to ensure all assigned staff are properly trained for positions and develops cross training opportunities as warranted. Maintains up to date documentation of staff training and annual skills assessments.
Provides input into the budget process and is responsible for ensuring that the assigned area(s) budget projections are reasonable and defensible. Operates within the context of the established budget. Monitors, provides statistical reporting and implements changes necessary to comply with budget, maximizes revenues, productivity and efficiencies and contain expenses. Develops clear goals to address variances to the budget.
Works closely with the finance department and revenue cycle to support the timely, accurate documentation and response to revenue cycle requests.
Monitors and ensures compliance with all required legal requirements and governmental reporting regulations and accreditation requirements as appropriate to assigned area(s). Directs preparation of information requested and monitors for exposure.
Works collaboratively with leadership to support the activities and needs of the assigned area(s) by providing appropriate resources, scheduling, recruiting, compensation and adherence to contractual obligations. Ensures that schedules are maintained an in alignment with contractual obligations of the providers.
Ensures all business functions are operative and all processes and procedures are effectively and efficiently in place and are aligned with LH policies and procedures. Reviews processes and makes recommendations for improvement. Creates goals in collaboration with assigned leadership for operations and ensures these goals are in line with organizational goals.
Leads the hiring process, preparation and delivery of evaluations and corrective action for assigned staff.
Supervisors may be expected to perform the following tasks regularly:
Creates work schedule and assigns employees to specific work tasks.
Trains and/or coordinates the training of assigned staff.
Oversees and coordinates successful completion of employees’ competency assessments and required training.
Acts as point-of-contact/subject matter expert for assigned staff.
Leads and/or coordinates compliance and quality efforts.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
