About the Position

We are looking for a Tank Painter / Maintenance Technician to be responsible for sanding and painting propane tanks, cleaning assigned Cardlock sites, and performing general bulk plant and building maintenance work. This is a part time position averaging between 25-30 hours per week.

You’ll report to the Plant Manager, working out of our corporate office in Kalispell, Montana, focusing on these key responsibilities:

  • Sands, primes, and paints propane tanks.

  • Cleans assigned Cardlock sites three times per week during the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons and twice per week during Winter.

  • Performs general warehouse cleaning duties (vacuum, sweep, pressure wash, put supplies away, etc.)

  • Performs yard maintenance (mow lawn, pull weeds, shovel snow, etc.)

  • Performs both routine maintenance and troubleshoots/repairs issues: Addresses any maintenance issues promptly, including repairing or replacing faulty fixtures or minor equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.

  • Performs preventive maintenance: Implements preventive maintenance schedules to proactively maintain building fixtures or minor equipment, including lubricating moving parts, replacing filters, and performing regular inspections to prevent breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of assets.

  • Responds to maintenance requests: Responds to maintenance requests from building occupants or management in a timely manner, prioritizes tasks based on urgency, and ensures timely resolution of issues to minimize disruption to operations.

  • Assists with minor renovations or upgrades to the building.

  • Assists Plant Manager with maintaining records: forwards accurate records of maintenance activities to manager, including work orders, inspections, repairs, and inventory of supplies and equipment, to track maintenance history and ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.

  • Ensures safety and compliance: Adheres to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, and ensure that building systems and equipment meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Provides emergency support: Be available to respond to emergency maintenance situations outside of regular working hours, such as power outages, flooding, or severe weather events, for the safety and security of the building and its occupants.

  • Maintains high standards of courtesy and respect for fellow employees and customers.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of painting: using rollers, brushes, and mixing paint.

  • Must have general cleaning knowledge, using brooms, vacuums, pressure washer, hand carts, etc.

  • Must have knowledge of using lawn mowers, weed eaters, snow blowers, shoveling, etc.

  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record.

  • Must have knowledge of small tools – ability to use a hammer, drill, wrenches, etc.

  • Must have attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Ability to work unsupervised.
