Job Description Summary:
This position teaches well organized private and group lessons utilizing professional teaching methods. Creates a fun-based learning atmosphere and an inclusive, safe playing environment with all tennis activities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience teaching tennis at a professional facility or club required.
RSPA, PRT, IFT teaching certification required.
USTA Safe Play Compliance required.
Current HS AED CPR certification required.
Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age required.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience teaching as a tennis professional preferred.
Possess basic office skills including cash register operation preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
Primarily teaches well organized private and group lessons utilizing professional teaching methods.
Works closely with leadership to create, organize, and teach adult classes, clinics, and lessons based around the needs of the Tennis Center.
Works closely with USTA Montana to facilitate, recruit, and coach USTA Adult League Teams based out of the Logan Health Tennis Center.
Helps facilitate junior group programming as assigned.
Maintains a 70% on court 30% off court teaching schedule.
Works closely with assigned leadership in promoting, programming, organizing and operating tennis events (tournaments, socials, leagues, etc.).
Schedules lessons, performs membership relations, front desk correspondence, responds to tennis related inquiries, performs ball and equipment upkeep, adheres to lesson record keeping, and basic court maintenance (nets, scorecards, ball machine, benches, etc.).
Proactively greets all members and guests in a friendly, professional and enthusiastic manner and gives priority to customers.
Efficiently and accurately performs all closing and opening procedures per department protocol.
Keeps the Tennis area and Tennis Center clean and organized per department protocol.
Understands and stays up to date and proficient in all issues related to safety and emergency procedure.

Schedule:
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
