Hayden Beverage Company Wine Sales Representative: Flathead Valley, MT in Kalispell, Montana

Montana’s fastest growing beer, wine, and premium beverage distributor, Hayden Beverage Co., is looking to hire a talented and experienced Wine Sales representative covering the Flathead Valley: Kalispell, Whitefish, and Colombia Falls. The primary goal of this position is to secure and maintain commitments for our wine brands from current and prospective Off Premise clients. This will be done through persuasive sales presentations, product promotion and distribution by maintaining an awareness of competitive product trends, pricing, and saturation.

About the Position:

  • Secure and maintain commitments for product line utilization from current and prospective accounts that include retail establishments, bars, restaurants, and other accounts

  • Strategizes/preplans on how best to achieve sales and merchandising objectives by understanding company pricing and product programming information on a monthly basis and maintaining accurate historical account purchase information

  • Executes monthly and special sales programs

  • Identifies opportunities for and promotes market penetration of new product lines

  • Maintains accurate account records by using daily report processes, special report processes and handheld computers and other electronic equipment

  • Effectively work with accounts to plan, produce, and attend promotional events: attend, secure inventory, communicate with delivery, and execute the event

  • Implements account product trainings to increase brand awareness and visibility

  • Own inventory/transfer process for all Flathead Valley wine placements and manage Inventory to ensure product standards are met and controls are followed

  • Safely operate personal vehicle with company required insurance

  • Salary, commission, and car allowance

  • Compensation $42-45k

The Qualified Candidate:

  • Has a valid Driver’s License

  • Outstanding presentation and persuasive sales abilities with proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point

  • Demonstrate an exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients while providing high levels of service by communicating clear and timely responses to issues, requests, problems, and regular reporting

  • Can maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public

  • Will have knowledge of the distributor industry as well as be able to demonstrate wine core competency

  • Professional individual that can demonstrate strong leadership, performance development, and goal oriented accountability skills

  • Excels in a team environment

  • This position primarily works Monday through Friday

  • Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays.
