State of Montana Mental Health Program Coordinator in Lewistown, Montana
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Mental Health Program Coordinator* at the Montana Mental Health and Nursing Care Center.* The Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center (MMHNCC) in Lewistown is a licensed residential facility for the long-term care and treatment of persons who have mental disorders and who require a level of care not available in the community. The Mental Health Program Coordinator performs professional mental health services as a member of a multi-disciplinary care plan team within MMHNCC. This position coordinates care plans, assigns groups, schedules, and clinics to assure quality of care and resident accountability. Other responsibilities include counseling residents regarding issues such as day-to-day problems, resident rights, behavior management, family issues, and provides support during emotional crisis. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Behaviors): Required for thefirst day of work: · Considerable knowledge of the principles, terminology, and techniques and principles of psychological assessment, tests and devices, personality therapy, and psychotherapeutic techniques. · Interviewing and information gathering skills. · Ability to plan and implement treatment programs. · Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. · Skill in computer and software programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, medical provider software, and computer application procedures. · Establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships and deal efficiently and effectively with the public and service providers. · Excellent ability to organize and prioritize and maintain concentration and direction in a disruptive environment. · Ability to follow oral and written instructions explicitly and be detailed focused.
