CENTURY COMPANIES, INC., A HIGHLY REPUTABLE HEAVY CIVIL, CONCRETE AND ASPHALT PAVING CONTRACTOR BASED IN LEWISTOWN, MONTANA, IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION: OILER Classification: Seasonal Compensation: Prevailing Wage or comparable Work Location: Montana/North Dakota/Wyoming *Job Description: Position is responsible for checking fluid levels (Fuel, Grease and Oil) and performing preventive maintenance (lubrication, oil changes, oil/air filters and oil samples) on all heavy equipment on the job site according to schedules or as needed. The oiler also safely operates a lube/grease truck to dispense lubricants to construction equipment. Also, the oiler will be required to assist the mechanic during repairs. Essential Functions:*
- Work under supervision of project superintendent or other designated person
- Prepare service truck for use
- Miscellaneous parts running and servicing
- Service the asphalt plant, including generator oil change
- Make daily walk-around of all rolling stock
- Make repair list for the Job Superintendent
- Perform minor repairs during servicing
- Report all fuel usage to project supervisor
- Correctly complete daily lube reports
- Order supplies daily as needed
- Service and maintain the service truck
- Keep job van neat and clean
- Maintain positive attitude
- Complete responsibilities in a congenial and collaborative manner with co-workers
- Maintain and promote a clean and safe work environment and culture
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Competencies:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Class A Commercial drivers license with Tanker and Hazardous Material endorsement preferred. Training provided by employer for non-CDL holders.
