CITY OF LEWISTOWN Street Worker I or II in LEWISTOWN, Montana
Full time position. A probationary period of six months will be required
WAGE:: $18.50 - $20.97/hr DOE
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under close supervision, performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor tasks in the construction and maintenance of streets. Frequently drives truck, loaders and operates light equipment; work varies somewhat, subject to close supervision.
DUTIES:
Performs semi-skilled and unskilled manual labor in the maintenance of facilities
Snow removal, operates light and heavy equipment such as mowers, trimmers and light trucks, loaders, sweepers in a safe manner
Follows oral and written instructions
Performs such duties as may be assigned
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
Prepares minimal records of work activities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is primarily that of a laborer, truck driver, or equipment operator and duties may involve physical work requiring walking, crawling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds or greater with assistance
work may be performed in undesirable physical conditions of noise, pollution, heat, cold, and dampness. May be exposed to hazards and infectious wastes
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a high school graduate or its equivalent
Must possess a Montana Commercial Drivers license
One year of work experience in a related field is desired.
