MOVE BUMPERS, LLC Welder/ Metal Fabricator in LEWISTOWN, Montana

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the WELDER is responsible for working from blueprints and drawings to fit, weld, and finish steel parts using a MIG welding process. To be successful in this role, you will be familiar with standard welding concepts, practices, and procedures; possess expert welding knowledge and strong math skills; and demonstrate the ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining superior attention to details.DUTIES:Read and utilize drafting drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine specific welding requirementsSetup welding equipment and MIG weld steel components based on specificationsGrind, prep, and finish weldments and inspect all parts for proper assembly and possible defectsOperate machinery to cut and bend steel as specified on work orders and assist machine operators as neededLoad and unload raw steel and other materials as well as final products and items packed for shipmentMaintain on-time deliveries by moving orders through the production workflow in a timely mannerPerform preventive maintenance on machines to reduce downtime and uphold quality standardsIdentify and recommend manufacturing process improvementsCross train in other functional areas as business needs dictateAdhere to all safety protocols and keep a safe and clean work areaQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalentIndustrial Technical degree (CW, CWS, CWE) or similar certification strongly preferred1 + years hands-on MIG welding experience required2 + years hands-on machine shop experienceFamiliarity with 2D Laser, Plasma Cutting Table, Press Brake, Tubing Bender, or similar equipmentExperience operating reach truck forklift, telehandler, and overhead hoistMust be able to read and comprehend work orders and shop flow programsComfortable working with MS Office and other business softwareStrong mechanical aptitudeNo phone calls please.
