Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Application Analyst & Data Integrity Specialist, Full Time in Libby, Montana

*THIS POSITION IS ON SITE AT OUR LIBBY LOCATION. HYBRID OR REMOTE NOT AVAILABLE.

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for an Application Analyst & Data Integrity Specialist to join our Medical Records Department!

The Specialist is responsible for configuration, implementation, go-live support, administration, maintenance, upgrade, modification and ongoing user support of assigned applications utilized by Health Information Management (HIM). This position ensures accurate EMPI data through regular audits and merge duplicates as appropriate. This role manages chart correction processes and perform regular audits to ensure integrity and quality of EMR data. The Specialist collaborates with HIM team members and other medical center departments in provision of information as needed for patient care, coding, billing, research, and physician documentation completion and quality. This position performs data entry, cross trains to enable coverage of other department positions, participates in department quality initiatives. This role leads co-workers in day-to-day department activities as directed by Manager, or in Manager's absence.

Major Job Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinates processes associated with electronic health record (EHR) implementation, including vendor liaison, workflow and integration analyses, user training, testing, and troubleshooting.

Provides requested information to medical center departments and outside entities digitally, via telephone, fax, mail, or in person.

Scans/retrieves data into/from electronic documentation systems.

Monitors office supply inventories, submits orders to Materials Management as needed..

Proficiently operates computers, scanners, printers, copiers, phone system, and fax.

Collaborates with Information Systems Department and system vendors to troubleshoot and help resolve issues.

Participates in department quality projects and performance improvement initiatives.

Efficiently manages time and organizes workload to maximize medical center and department resources.

Communicates with providers and other medical center departments as needed to facilitate documentation integrity and completion.

Leads co-workers in day-to-day department activities as directed by Manager, or in Manager's absence.

Reviews access requests from prospective users, including offsite providers, and assists manager and IS staff in determining appropriate level of access needed.

Serves as systems resource person for medical staff.

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

Skilled in the use of electronic medical records systems (Meditech Client / Server, eClinicalWorks, Greenway, DocuWare), dictation and scanning software and hardware.

Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical center and clinic office procedures and protocols.

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with teammates, providers, contractors, vendors, and other medical center departments.

Ability to mentor and teach new system users/co-workers.

Ability to lead in everyday department operations. Must be able to maintain a sense of urgency and the ability to multitask.

Must be a proactive learner, team and task oriented, well organized, and able to provide excellent internal and external customer service.

Schedule

Day shift, Monday through Friday.

Education Requirements

Associate degree, vocational certificate, other post-secondary coursework in a healthcare related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

A minimum of two years experience in a healthcare office setting.

Leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
