Full Job Description MontanaSky West, LLC. is a small cable operator in Northwest Montana. We operate a cable-system in Libby, MT and a Fiber Optic system in Troy, MT. We are a mature operator with a high customer penetration rate in these communities. Are you sick being on the road and not seeing your family? We are seeking an experienced individual to lead the technical operations of our DOCIS 3.1 cable plant. We do not offer video services, so the focus is data-only. The main objective of this position is to keep the cable system in good-operating order, perform regular system maintenance, and respond to outages. In addition, we are looking for someone with the drive to continue to make the system better for our customers! You would be the supervisor of 3-4 technicians. Prior experience with a cable system is required. Pay is negotiable depending on experience. Relocation assistance will be considered for the right person. Summary: The technical manager of the Libby Branch office is in charge of the technical operations of the COAX and Fiber plants. They will work with the field-technicians and the head-end technician to ensure that everything is operating properly. They will supervise the other technicians and oversee employee development (Training). In addition, they will work closely with the customer-service manager to ensure our customers are delighted with MontanaSky products and services. Job Detail Summary (Example duties of the position) - this list is not all inclusive: · Managing the technician calendar to ensure that customer-tickets and planned maintenance tasks are scheduled. Ensure that time-off requests are not overlapping so that there is proper coverage. · Ensure there are enough replacements parts in-stock to respond to outages. · Monitor the network facilities and identify issues that need to be addressed. · Ensure that technicians are performing their work to industry-quality-standards. · Submit purchase-requests to CEO for approval and ordering. · Make long-term plans for the network facilities to ensure that there is enough capacity to address increasing customer demand and area growth. · Ensure that employee equipment and vehicles are properly maintained. · Respond to emergency outages, as necessary. · Assist with completing annual employee evaluations. · Other tasks, as assigned and necessary.
