Park County, Montana Sheriff's Department is seeking qualified applicants for part-time Detention Officer positions.QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States, High School Diploma/Equivalent, able & willing to authorize/pass a criminal records search, never convicted of a felony offense, possess a valid Montana Driver's License, willing to work all shifts, able to successfully complete verbal, physical, medical and psychological examinations as required, not have been affiliated with any type of subversive organization at least 5-years prior to appointment. Must also have been a Montana resident for 1-year AND a Park County resident for 6-months prior to appointment OR receive administrative waiver. Position also requires membership in the union. REQUIRED OR TO BE OBTAINED WITHIN 12 MONTHS: MLEA Certification, Driver's License, First Responder/AED Certification, CPR Certification, POST Certification, Detention Officer Basic Certification, Weaponless Defense, CDOB Training, Tactical Handcuffing Training, PPCT Training, CPI Training, Firearms Training. DUTIES INCLUDE: Maintaining care, custody, and control of detainees in the Park County detention center, maintaining appropriate records, transporting inmates, working closely with Sheriff's department staff and other law enforcement personnel of various agencies and perform other duties as assigned. DAYS/HOURS: Full-time and Part-time positions available. Must be willing to work nights and weekends. STARTING WAGE: $17.10 per hour.
