U.S. Air Force - Agency Wide INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST in Malmstrom AFB, Montana

The primary purpose of this position is to monitor and analyze global all-source intelligence, collections, and operational information to ensure situational awareness and properly advise senior leadership and customers across the wing on intelligence information. * Salary ranges includes local market supplements Responsibilities - Performs senior-level complex analysis in support of daily intelligence operations. - Senior Intelligence Analyst guides wing operations through the production and delivery of actionable intelligence, reports, and analysis. - Provides Senior level intelligence support to Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection (FP) programs. - Acts as the Senior Intelligence Officer's deputy; the intelligence representative in the performance of unit staff functions and coordination with Numbered Air Force (NAF) and Major Command (MAJCOM) staffs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of the wide range of intelligence research, collection, analysis processing, production and exploitation methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments. Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in interplay of geographical, political, military, economic, and industrial forces in various regions of the world. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the interplay of geographical, political, military, economic, and industrial forces in various regions of the world as well as intelligence and FP/ AT threat entities, operations, and capabilities that may be directed against USAF, DoD, and other US resources; knowledge of a wide range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multisource intelligence information systems to capture data to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments. 2. Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detail analyses of semi-complex to complex information/situations attained from multiple sources, to include database manipulation; and advanced knowledge of database and graphics presentation software and be able to use the software to create a variety of documents, reports, letters, and forms; Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, interrelationships and operations and the intelligence enterprise to support and promote information sharing and strategies. 3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, interrelationships and operations and the intelligence enterprise to support and promote information sharing and strategies; knowledge of intelligence training programs, practices, procedures, and requirements to develop qualified and proficient analysts and unit-level intelligence support functions to support customer requirements and assigned operations. 4. Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs as well as understanding the security specialties, concepts, principles, requirements, and technology. 5. Skill in conducting unbiased, structured analytic research, identify appropriate available information and intelligence systems and sources, and produce collections requirements to answer specific tasks that link and leverage agency capabilities and to develop new methods, approaches, or procedures; skill in professional and analytic writing, developing, and producing intelligence assessments and conclusions from multiple intelligence sources or data sets to inform training programs, supported operations, and commanders and decision-makers. 6. Ability to communicate effectively with members of varying rank and positional authority, both orally and in writing, working solutions to intelligence problems or questions related to the assigned mission or work, in clear, accurate, and concise terms, and delivering verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes; ability to maintain control of classified material, assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data estimates, and make effective recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
