Flagstar Bank Cashiering Analytics & Reporting Supervisor in Malta / Helena, Montana

Job Summary
This position performs strategic data analysis and research, discover and identify trends, then find opportunities and offer solutions to support business. Department reporting, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) produced for Executive Management shall be designed and delivered by the Cashiering & Analytics Supervisor. This position delivers multiple analytical solutions by capturing, converting and presenting analyzed data into useful information or in support of a required business function or an audit request. Aggressive deadlines will be met, by working on multiple applications simultaneously and by setting and achieving appropriate expectations on complex business opportunities. This position develops relationships with various internal customers or vendors; remains current with the direction of the overall business plans and recommends and implements procedure or system improvements.

In addition, the Cashiering Analytics & Reporting Supervisor is responsible to manage a team of direct reports and work in concert with their peer teams to perform a variety of simple to highly complex cash transactions, reconciliations and balancing to ensure operational excellence by managing workflow and confirming all Cash handling responsibilities consistently meet and exceed performance targets. Working with direct reports, management or business partners the Cashiering & Analytics Supervisor maintains production, resolves production issues that may arise and implements meaningful improvements. While managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision, this position will plan and communicate a set of goals, train, develop and execute strategies; evaluate, track and measure results within the Cashiering department

Job Responsibilities:
OPERATIONS AND REPORTING: Maintaining operational soundness for the department by managing a wide variety of time-sensitive tasks, responsibilities and transactions. Confirming appropriate staffing levels are consistently achieved and maintained at all times for all functions. Assists in facilitating key procedural changes across all lines of production. Produces daily, weekly and/or monthly reporting including team responsibility logs, closing team logs and an overview report or "dashboard" of key information and statuses to the Cashiering Manager. Produces multiple analytical solutions by capturing, converting and presenting analyzed data into useful information.
TRAINING/COACHING/MENTORING AND CASH PROCESSING: Assist in direct reports day-to-day activities with support to help them navigate and solution specific problems or questions. Lead Cashiering employees to access appropriate tools and resources that strengthen their knowledge and experience skills. Provide shadowing opportunities and maintain a solid base of cross-trained support for all functions.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND COMPLIANCE TRAINING: Performs key administrative functions such as regular and holiday scheduling, payroll, time clock management, ensures staff has no overdue compliance training, data loss prevention, data retention activities and business continuity planning or exercises.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.

Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree Required with Field of Study in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or related field
Experience with Mortgage Loan Servicing and/or Loan Originations or experience with Cash Handling (any industry) Required
Experience with MSP Servicing Platform Required
Advanced Microsoft Excel Required
Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in Cash Handling or basic Accounting, preferably in mortgage loan servicing or in the mortgage business with working knowledge of mortgage servicing or originations
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite and must test to appropriate levels in Microsoft Excel software
Excellent computer skills; ability to navigate quickly within various computer programs.
Excellent time management skills; must be action-oriented with a great sense of urgency.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy.
Strong communication skills (oral and written) are an essential component to this role with the ability to openly communicate with team members.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, develop, coach, motivate a team in a cross-functional, multi-team environment to meet & exceed assigned goals within a results driven environment.
Ability to provide end-user training for direct reports and other team members.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer information.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to think quickly under pressure.
Proven ability to communicate accurate and timely/proactive updates for status of tasks and initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to follow company and/or investor guidelines or policies and adhere to department procedures to achieve operational requirements, including established service level agreements (SLA).
Demonstrated dependability with ability to work Cash handling hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Demonstrate a passion to learn about our business and technology.
Experience in designing, reporting and delivering analytical solutions, including the ability to capture, convert and present analyzed data into useful information.
Ability to recommend and implement procedure or system improvements.
Temporary local travel may be required should a Business Continuity event occur.
The job requires a moderate degree of physical exertion and stamina such as standing, sitting, walking, driving or infrequent lifting.
