Intermountain Health Activities Coordinator in Miles City, Montana

Job Description:

This is a multipurpose position in which duties range from carrying out basic patient care tasks as directed by a licensed therapist to overseeing a variety of operational activities for the department.

Scope

As an Activities Coordinator with us, you will know how to:

  • Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operations of the department in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

  • Assess our residents and patients to determine their needs, preferences, abilities and strengths

  • Develop individualized activity plans to promote social cognitive, spiritual and overall wellbeing of our patients and residents

  • Create and promote group activities to enhance the quality of life of those in our care by interacting with peers and multigenerational groups

  • Continually expand your knowledge and develop staff reporting to you

  • Help improve our facility and safety programs

  • Communicate compassionately and effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed or registered by the state of Montana and eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional, a qualified Occupational therapist or OTA.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, one (1) of which was in a health care setting

  • Current, valid MT Drivers license and proof of insurability.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$18.12 - $23.55
