Intermountain Health Activities Coordinator in Miles City, Montana
Job Description:
This is a multipurpose position in which duties range from carrying out basic patient care tasks as directed by a licensed therapist to overseeing a variety of operational activities for the department.
Scope
As an Activities Coordinator with us, you will know how to:
Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operations of the department in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Assess our residents and patients to determine their needs, preferences, abilities and strengths
Develop individualized activity plans to promote social cognitive, spiritual and overall wellbeing of our patients and residents
Create and promote group activities to enhance the quality of life of those in our care by interacting with peers and multigenerational groups
Continually expand your knowledge and develop staff reporting to you
Help improve our facility and safety programs
Communicate compassionately and effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed or registered by the state of Montana and eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional, a qualified Occupational therapist or OTA.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, one (1) of which was in a health care setting
Current, valid MT Drivers license and proof of insurability.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$18.12 - $23.55
