CITY OF MILES CITY Airport Equipment Operator/Maintenance in MILES CITY, Montana
This is a part-time position. Days may vary. This will position requires call out and weekend hours. The wage is $16.00/hr. Under the day to day supervision to the airport manager, this position will assist the airport manager in creating a safe and well maintained airport. Responsibilities include a variety of duties including Aircraft fueling, payment collection of fuel payments, frontend loader operations, and snow plow operations and insuring compliance with any federal, state and local regulations. In addition, this position will require operation of radio equipment, providing field conditions to pilots, attending pilot and customer needs, monitor lobby area and provide services such as ground transportation and travel assistance. Further duties include maintaining and servicing airport equipment. The position involves frequent moderate to heavy physical activity and exposure to weather and attention to personal safety. Position is subject to call-out fueling duties based on scheduling. Successful performance of the duties associated with this position requires a thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to fuel dispensing and fuel operations at airports. Must be able to drive and dispense fuel from fuel trucks to propeller and jet aircraft. Requires working knowledge for operating and maintaining various machinery and equipment operated on the airport. Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, follow verbal and written instruction, establish and maintain working relationship with other city, state and federal authorities and well as the general public. Must have a valid Montana Driver's License and must be eligle for coverage by the City insurance carriers.
