Employer has a position open for a Child Care Assistant Teacher.Position: Child Care Assistant Teacher: Full TimeLocation: Happy Feet Child Care, 920 Woodbury, Miles City MT 59301Contact Person : Jacklynn Liles, Primary TeacherContact Info: Phone number: (406) 853-1645 email: jliles1120@gmail.comHours: 7:15 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday Approximate weekly hours: 32 hours to 40 hours per week.Wage is $9.00 per hour to start will be discussed at time of interview.Description:A Daycare Assistant Teacher assists the primary teachers in the care, supervision, and educating the children attending child care. Tasks: A Daycare Assistant Teacher will perform the following general duties with or under the supervision of licensed and insured daycare providers (primary teacher): Maintain a safe play environment Care for and attend to the needs of children at the facility including dressing,feeding, and monitoring their activities and playtime Assist with the planning and organization of games and recreational activities for children in a group setting Monitor signs of emotional and developmental issues in children and notify the Primary Teacher, parents, guardians, or authorities of concerns when necessary Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues Implement developmentally appropriate disciplinary measures to maintain control in the classroom and facility Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts Care for children in institutional setting, such as group homes, nursery schools, private businesses, or schools for the handicapped Clean and sanitize toys, furniture and play equipment Dress children and change diapers Keep electronic records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, toilet activities and medications administered Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to parents' or guardians' attention Report any suspect of abuse/neglect to Central Intake Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits Any other relatable tasks Training requirements: Complete and maintain CPR and adult/child BLS certification within 3 months of hire date Complete the following courses within 3 months of hire date: Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma Safe Sleep in Child Care Prevention and Control of Infectious Disease and Immunization Medication Administration in Child Care YIKES- Emergency Preparedness Together We Grow Protecting Children from Harm Child Abuse and Neglect: Mandatory Reporting in Child Care Maintain 16 hours of yearly training
