REYNOLDS Meat Clerk in MILES CITY, Montana

Employer has an opening for a Meat Clerk. DEPARTMENT: Meat Department REPORTS TO: Meat Merchant FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt - Hourly POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting with the overall operation of the department by assisting with the displaying and preparation of meat and seafood products. You must have good organizational skills, an understanding of our guests' needs and provide exceptional guest service. Promote team work within the department and store. Skills in display, preservation of products and communicating with team members and public are required for your success. SAFETY AND SANITATION Is aware of and adheres to all safety, security and accident prevention procedures including using common sense and good judgment to maintain the highest level of safety for self, other team members and guests. Reports unsafe conditions, uses equipment and materials properly and determines appropriate action within guidelines. Maintains the equipment and physical appearance of the department, including selling and backroom areas, to ensure they meet company maintenance, sanitation and safety standards, as well as the government regulatory agencies' guidelines at all times. Continually assists in maintaining proper physical appearance of outside perimeters of store to ensure cleanliness and safety of all. Knows proper procedures for and immediately reports all equipment problems, spills, accidents or emergencies to the department merchant or a member of the executive staff. Have knowledge of the layout of the store and the location of safety and emergency equipment. Consistently participates in open communication with team members on a regular basis promoting a high level of morale within departments and store. Shares and accepts ideas for department and store profitability and guest service. Continually solicits guest feedback to help improve sales and service. 2. Has knowledge of and complies with all company policies, procedures, programs and directives. Refers to Team Member Handbook continually to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Promotes a harassment-free environment, and immediately reports any potential legal situation to management. 3. Continually strives to build knowledge and skills, both personally and within the department and store through training and education of self and other team members. Attends departmental, store and company meetings as required; contributes to profits and revenues and meets productivity standards. 4. Assists in maintaining proper freshness, code dating, tares, and merchandising of the products in compliance with governmental guidelines and company policies and procedures. 5. Assists in proper department pricing, rotating and merchandising to meet company policies, procedures and objectives. 6. Assists with slicing and grinding of meat products. 7. Maintains an awareness of competitive activity within the store marketing area. 8. Maintains knowl dge of the various cuts, types, and preparation information regarding the department's products. Stays aware of current sale prices and location of products. Answers guest inquiries in a prompt and friendly manner.
