Job Description:
The Clinical Pharmacist demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills to deliver appropriate, safe, efficient, effective, and cost effective pharmaceutical care in the scope of their particular assignment. This position is responsible for the care of patients as well as the development of effective, professional relationships within the multidisciplinary team.
The pharmacy shifts are 0730-1800, 0800-1600, 0800-1400, 0800-1500 rotating shifts to make 36 to 40 hour work week, with on call from 1800-730 and will be called back in to the pharmacy, on occasion. Rotating weekends & on-call (call shared with 3 other pharmacists) about 6-9 call shifts/month.

Scope
As a Pharmacist you need to know how to:
Assure the availability and integrity of medications for administration to the patient- Monitor pharmacy inventory to minimize wastage, assure doses are available for patients and IV solutions are recycled appropriately- Provide drug information to other healthcare professionals- Verify accuracy of technician work and other pharmacist work- Prepare and assure availability of compounded medications, extemporaneous medications and prepackaged medications in accordance with current standard of practice guidelines and state / federal regulations- Provide clinical pharmacotherapy including, but not limited to: patient medication counseling, multidisciplinary patient care rounds, medication administration record review, adverse drug reactions monitoring and reporting, medication error reporting and pharmacokineti dosing service.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters Degree or equivalent,
Minimum of six (6) months of experience
Current Pharmacy licensure in the state of practice
Preferred Qualifications:
795/797/800 non-sterile & sterile compounding using standard procedures for integrity of cleanrooms; hazardous drug handling
knowledge of inpatient care practice/emergency & critical care medicine
Knowledge of outpatient care practice (LTC & oncology/non-oncology outpatient infusion)
Knowledge of TJC medication management standards

Intermountain Health Holy Rosary Hospital is a comprehensive acute-care hospital in Miles City, MT, that serves an 11-county region of eastern Montana. It includes physician clinics, a long-term care residential living community, hospice & palliative care services. Additional services include cancer care with outpatient infusion services for oncological and non-oncological indications, emergency & trauma services, & walk-in care 7 days a week.

Miles City is located 140 miles east from Billings, MT. This position requires the candidate to live in Miles City and respond to emergent patient care situation while on call within 20 minutes.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
