You're great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.
is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Our 25-bed acute care hospital, residential living community and clinic provide eastern Montana with comprehensive services in one beautiful location. We are fully dedicated to providing care aligned with community needs, and are proud to treat the poor, the vulnerable, our community and each other.
are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind and social well-being. To that end, we've launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.
Together we'll align mission and careers, values and workplace. We'll honor each other's dignity and surpass the standards we set. We'll encourage joy, demand safety and take pride in our integrity.
We'll laugh at each other's jokes (even the bad ones). We'll hello and high five. We'll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.
We're proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.
As a Sonographer you need to know how to:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered including complete film and videotape or digital documentation following established procedures.
Assist the ordering physician or Radiologist in such procedures as amniocentesis and other guided needle biopsies/aspirations. This involves the imaging procedure, localization, maintaining sterile techniques and assisting as necessary.
Select equipment and technical factors appropriate for each examination and evaluate all sonographic studies for technical quality.
Demonstrate knowledge of computerized stress equipment for treadmill and chemical stress testing.
Prepare and administer all contrast materials per the Radiologist or Cardiologist directions and order for cardiac/echocardiography procedures. Identify, interview, and screen patients prior to the procedure for proper diet preparation, food, and applicable medication allergies and renal function.
Comply with radiation safety practices. Consistently practice ALARA standards during radiological examination, maintain, and wear all radiation monitoring devices.
Assist with the collection and maintenance of all documentation, records, film files, etc. as required by or under the Radiology Department, Quality Assurance Department, JC Accreditation, OSHA Guidelines or as may be required by law.
Accept complete responsibility for your assigned area with equipment performance, cleanliness, and supplies and ensure the area is "patient ready" for the next patient and technologist.
Prepare and administer all radiopaques substances or contrast materials per the Radiologist directions and orders. Identify, interview, and screen patients prior to the procedure for proper diet preparation, food and medication allergies and renal function.
Process any and all films, after verifying all adequate processor factors, and preparing the films for reading and interpretation by the Radiologist. Ensure complete requisition containing complete patient data, charges, and appropriate history for examination.
Inspect departmental pharmaceuticals and supplies for sterility, outdating, defects, and dispose of properly. Inspect emergency drug box(s) seals daily for integrity and report/replace immediately if any items are utilized or if the seal has been compromised.
