DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM Supervised Visitation Specialist in MILES CITY, Montana
This position is with DEAP (Developmental Educational Assistance Program) Part-time. Travel is required. Hours vary; flexibility is a must! This position provides visitation services for identified children who have an open case with CPS who reside with their families or in foster care homes, role modeling during supervised visitation sessions, paying specific attention to family interactions; Provides skill-building services, assessment, evaluation and transportation as necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Two years job experience working with families is preferred. - Must demonstrate personal characteristics that include being non judgmental and compassionate. - Strong computer skills. - Ability to work with other professionals in a team approach. - Ability to teach daily living skills to parents and children. - Ability to model teaching methods. - Ability to prepare and keep routine records and reports. - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. - Ability to relate to and establish trusting relationships with families. - Ability to focus on the family as the primary unit of service. - Ability to relate to people in a crisis situation to make quick and independent decisions.
