CUSTER COUNTY Weed Technician in MILES CITY, Montana
The employer is hiring for a full time temporary position that will terminate at the end of the spray season but may be extended into September due to the fall spray season . The starting wage for this position is \$16.00 per hour. Overtime is offered if worked over 40 hours per week. This position performs technical duties in the operation of the county weed control program. Work requires adherence to safety standards in the handling and use of hazardous chemicals. Must be accurate in mixing and applying herbicides. Work is generally outdoors and may be performed in adverse weather conditions. Will work Mon-Thurs 10 hours per day generally 6 a.m. to 4 p.m, subject to change. May involve Fridays weather dependent. Work could begin early May and continue through the end of August. The employer will consider high school or college students that meet the age requirement. Must have and maintain valid driver\'s license with clean driving record and have the ability to operate an ATV and vehicles with manual transmissions.
