Missoula County is seeking a regular, full-time CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT/COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER PROGRAM who provides clinical patient care as a member of a patient centered care team in all aspects of serving the patients of Partnership Health Center (PHC) Community Health Worker Program.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High school graduation or GED. Current certification as Medical Assistant from one of the following: the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); American of Medical Technologists (AMT); the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Medical Assistant Certification; or other nationally accredited certification program. Requires current Healthcare Professional BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire. Requires a vaild Montana driver's license. Prioritizes patient needs in person and on the telephone. Manages patient flow and ensures that clinic appointments are conducted on schedule. Conducts and records initial health interview in the clinic or a patient's home as part of a community health worker team. Documents interactions with patients. Prepares and administers prescription medications to patients. Documents medications in accordance with PHC policies. Phones in prescriptions to pharmacies as directed by the medical provider. Schedules appointments for procedures and diagnostic tests with other medical providers and hospitals. Distributes test results to providers and assures entry into patient record. Works as a health coach for the lay community health workforce identified and trained by the community health worker program lead. Maintains clinic work area and equipment, including cleaning and sterilization. Assists with material management, and stocking of area, inventory and ordering. Work is full-time and pay is $15.78/hr.
