Providence Chaplain Non-Certified in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Chaplain Non-Certified (Spiritual Care, Nights, 0.0 FTE) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Regularly visits with in-patients and responds to referrals.
Demonstrates interdisciplinary, spiritual assessment, intervention, and documentation skills.
Participates in committees, meetings, patient conferences, and morning report to enhance the continuum of pastoral care.
Presides over hospital prayer and memorial services.
Establishes positive working relationships with all members of the health care team as well as volunteers.
Keep departmental statistics as required.
Available for all shifts and call; equal to days worked in order to cover the department 24 hours a day.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Theology or related field that demonstrates skills and abilities pastoral care
Three (3) years of pastoral experience
Maintains ecclesiastical endorsement and certification (if applicable)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in Theology or related field that demonstrates skills and abilities pastoral care
Two (2) years of pastoral experience specifically dealing with hospice and end of life care
