POSITION

In this role, you will thrive with various municipal engineering project design opportunities available. The Engineer will champion the planning, design, and construction of projects related to clean water systems and wastewater treatment facilities. These responsibilities include:

  • Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (P, S & E Packages) for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.

  • Oversee tasks and projects from start to finish, supporting project and client services managers, including budgeting, scheduling, and construction administration oversight.

  • Provide job site support and observation and monitor construction progress.

  • Support project managers with construction administration tasks, including submittal and RFI review, progress payment review, compliance with funding agency provisions, and oversight of onsite RPRs.

  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Analyze facilities for system deficiencies regarding compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and provide improvement alternatives to meet compliance with such regulations.

  • Engage with community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to communicate project goals, address concerns, and gather input on water and wastewater initiatives.

YOUR STRENGTHS

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum of 4+ years design experience in municipal or water/wastewater projects

  • PE license preferred or able to obtain after-hire

  • Design software experience Civil 3D or similar

  • Knowledge of Engineering planning studies

  • Strong communication both verbal and written

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable record for travel
