Concessions II - $17.15/hr

Essential Functions
CONCESSIONS I (Cook/ Grill Staff):
Perform daily food preparation and additional morning prep service, including making burger patties, sauces, and other grill items.
Operate ovens, microwaves, deep fryers, and flattop grills.
Perform point-of-sale transactions by accepting payment for food orders in the Crazy Creek Café, Fireline Grill, and Home Plate Grill.
Monitor quality and production standards on all menu items, including portion control, and proper cooking and holding temperatures of all products.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the concession facilities and adjacent outside eating areas, following Servsafe guidelines.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
CONCESSIONS II (Shift Leader):
Lead a staff of cooks and cashiers at the Crazy Creek Café, Fireline Grill, and Home Plate Grill; maintain preset staffing levels based on amount of business, as directed by the supervisor.
Provide support to Concessions I - Cook/Grill staff and cafe cashiers, including backup, efficient line speed by expediting orders, and overall multitasking focus.
Ensure all daily food preparation needs are met; delegate food preparation tasks to cooks.
Receive and properly store food deliveries.
Assist with recruitment, training, and evaluating staff.
Prepare menus for special events and tournaments.
Assist with creating new menu items and specials.
Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are complete.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all concession facilities; assign deep cleaning projects.
Ensure all health and safety requirements are met in all concession facilities, according to Servsafe guidelines.
Assist with managing inventory, including ordering food and supplies.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of basic point-of-sale and cash handling practices and procedures, with the ability to learn job specific applications and equipment.
Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation requirements.
Knowledge of principles and practices of food management, including product specification, recipe nuances, inventory management, equipment maintenance, menus, staff management, training, etc.
Skill in following oral and written instructions.
Skill in multitasking in a fast-paced environment, while providing effective customer service.
Skill in communicating, in person and writing, with the ability to establish and maintain positive effective working relationships with diverse individuals.
Ability to adapt to challenges quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision, while meeting needs associated in a non-traditional restaurant setting.
Ability to participate in a customer focused and team-oriented environment, contributing as lead and collaborator, when necessary.
Ability to maintain and exhibit integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to maintain and foster a culture of professionalism, adhere to departmental and City standards and specifications, and support a positive team environment.
Ability to resolve conflicts with facilitating outcomes while maintaining a calm demeanor.
Ability to learn departmental and City of Missoula practices and procedures.
Working Conditions:
Positions require the ability to lift 50 lbs. or less.
Work environment may involve occasional exposure to occupational hazards, biohazards, and physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
Duties may require driving City vehicles to transport youth of all ages to various recreational sites and facilities.
Qualifications and Additional Application Materials
ALL POSITIONS
Must be of legal age to perform the duties of the positions.
Must have a valid Montana driver’s license with a verified acceptable driving record, or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
ServSafe certification, preferred.
CONCESSIONS I
- Any combination of training and experience with concessions or food preparation.
CONCESSIONS II
- Any combination of training and experience equivalent to two (2) years of restaurant, concessions management experience, or another relevant field.
