Job Title: Food Program Coordinator

FLSA Status: non-exempt Wage: $12.50-14/hr doe

Status: part time, 15-18 hrs/week Department: Early Childhood Ed.

Reports to: Sr. Director of Early Childcare

Probation: Subject to a 6-month introductory (probationary) period

POSITION SUMMARY The Food Program Coordinator (FPC) organizes, directs and implements the food programs for the Y’s Early Education centers, After School programs and camps. This includes planning menus, ordering supplies and inventory, and generally advocating healthy lifestyles. The FPC is responsible for all reporting required for Montana Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) and compliance with all other Y-USA, state and federal nutritional guidelines. The FPC is also responsible for purchasing, shopping and maintaining food inventories; the planning of healthy child care menus according to HEPA standards. The FPC is responsible for abiding by any child’s known food allergies or food restrictions. Must be able to thrive in an environment with the unique challenges of a non-profit community service organization. Works with general supervision.


· Preferred - Bachelors or Associates degree or training in related field

· Required – Clean driving record, ability to drive company van.

· Required – Proficiency in using typical business software and office equipment, be detail oriented, proficient at time management and meeting deadlines.
