GENERAL STATEMENT:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 1 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: maintenance, janitorial, property upkeep or general custodial work.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Self starter

Attention to detail

Team player

Able to work independently

Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions

Flexibility to take on other tasks as needed depending on the season (e.g. - cleaning kettle supplies for Christmas)

Able to vacuum, dust, mop, sweep, clean windows, empty trash, clean bathrooms and other general cleaning tasks to keep building in excellent working order

SOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS:

Able to check email and respond in a timely fashion

Able to clock in and out via timeclock

SCOPE OF POSITION:

Provide support to the operation of The Salvation Army in Missoula through cleaning and general upkeep of the building and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vacuum all offices, fellowship hall and chapel on a weekly basis

Sweep and mop all floors on a weekly basis

Clean bathrooms on a weekly basis. Refill paper products as needed.

Clean Social Services Hygiene Center daily.

Dust weekly.

Empty trash on a daily basis.

Clean and maintain equipment as requested.

Set up and tear down for rental groups as assigned.

Perform food pickups as necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to complete all duties and responsibilities above.
