Aerie Backcountry Medicine Office and Operations Manager in Missoula, Montana

Position: Full-time, primarily in-person at the Aerie office in Missoula, but with the flexibility to occasionally work remotely.Compensation: Starting Range: $24 to $28/hr.Benefits:•SimpleIRA matching•Health insurance•Dental insurance•Vision insurance•4-weeks paid time off__About Us: Aerie provides wilderness medicine training internationally and deploys medical personnel on wildland fire. A dynamic, team-oriented management group runs our operations to support our students, sponsors, and staff. Role Overview: The Office and Operations Manager will be central to Aerie’s daily operations, working with our management team to ensure that our instructors, students, and sponsors have the information and resources they need.Key Responsibilities:•Course Operations: Work with Aerie management and course sponsors to schedule our wilderness medicine courses, ensuring smooth operations and effective use of resources. Plan travel logistics for instructing staff as needed.•Staff Scheduling: Serve as the main point of contact between other Aerie management and our instructors, ensuring clear communication and efficient course staffing.•Office Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Aerie office, keeping it organized and ensuring a productive work environment.•Fleet Management: Oversee the scheduling and maintenance of our company vehicles, ensuring they’re ready for staff use when needed.Skills & Qualifications:•Leadership: Proven record of effectively managing teams in dynamic work environments.•Organization: Bring organization and structure to daily operations, managing tasks and projects with minimal supervision.•Attention to Detail: Handle tasks with precision and follow-through, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.•Multi-tasking: Balance multiple responsibilities and maintain a positive and energetic approach.•Medical Experience: Current wilderness medicine certification or EMS license preferred. At a minimum, HeartSaver CPR and Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certifications must be obtained within one year of hire.•Communication: Be the go-to person for information, with a professional and friendly phone presence.•Technology: Proficiency with various technologies including online databases, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and the ability to learn other software as needed.•Continuous Improvement: Look for ways to enhance existing systems and processes, showing a commitment to excellence and efficiency.•Customer Service: Provide exceptional internal and external service, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.How to Apply: Please send your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience to careers@aeriemed.com no later than September 13, 2024.
