FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
Hours: 1st and 2nd Shift available. Shifts will be 10-12 hours.
Schedule: Available up to 6 days a week. WEEKENDS ARE A MUST
Wage: $18.00/hr PLUS a $1.00/hr Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
As an Operator in Training – Blending you will prepare, operate, and clean blending equipment. You will coordinate with department heads to meet daily production schedules that include established timelines.
Ensure adherence to PPE requirements and safety practices.
Operate production and material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet production standards.
Communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Understand Basic Blending Principles (weighing, sifting, blending, solution addition, unloading).
Consistent completion of accurate records/documentation (log books & MO documents).
Ability to perform room and equipment set-up procedures to ensure error free line clearance.
Ability to perform lot reconciliations without errors.
Ability to perform and verify weights of ingredients without errors.
Participate in the Daily Direction Setting (DDS) process by participating in Peer-to-Peer (P2P) and the shift huddle (CP1).
Support the Clean, Inspect, and Lubricate (CIL) Daily Management System (DMS) by performing CIL tasks as assigned.
Support the Anomaly Handling (AH) Daily Management System (DMS) by reporting any anomalies to supervision or maintenance.
Support the Centerline (CL) Daily Management System (DMS) by adhering to all equipment centerlines as designated. .
- High School Degree or GED equivalent.
Able to work in a team environment with a diverse workforce.
Punctual and Good Attendance.
Good communication, math, reading and writing skills.
Basic clerical and mechanical aptitude.
Able to work in a fast-paced repetitive work environment.
Must be flexible and able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Quality, safety minded, reliable, precise, and self-motivated.
Must be detail oriented, and able to spot defects or errors in all formats.

Working Conditions on the Production Floor:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced light manufacturing environment.
PPE requirements: safety glasses, respiratory protection, company supplied lab coats, and gloves.
GMP gowning requirements: Hair net, beard guard (if applicable), shoe covers, and sweatbands as required.
Frequent lifting / carrying (10-50 lbs.).
Frequent pushing / pulling (50-300 lbs) and frequent bending and stooping.
Frequent handling / gripping (parts, tools, etc.).
