Consumer Direct Care Network Payroll Director (relocation assistance) in Missoula, Montana

What you will do:

  • Lead, direct, and develop approximately 40 employees and 5 managers for multi-state payroll process, tax reporting and caregiver entry

  • Develop, track and analyze metrics for trends and optimization and report to leadership

  • Establish and update uniform policies to enable the department to effectively handle various situations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations including; compliance with legal, advanced reporting, and special projects as needed

  • Collaborate with internal business units, senior leaders, taxing agencies, and stakeholders.

  • Supervise, direct, monitor, counsel and evaluate supervisory staff to ensure performance standards are maintained

  • Demonstrate leadership skills including performance management and staff development including culture

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise employees

  • Resolve complicated and escalated payroll and tax issues both with internal and external clients.

  • Ensure payroll is processed efficiently and accurately within deadlines

  • Collaborate with accounting department to provide adequate documentation for financial statement preparation and audits

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years experience managing large payroll/claims/transactions processing work unit.

  • At least 3 years directly managing large teams

  • Experience working in Payroll Service Organization or Fiscal Vendor Agents models a major plus.

  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc), ERP, and CRM experience required. MS Dynamics SL a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
