Providence RN Professional Development Specialist Clinical Academy/Emergency Department in Missoula, Montana


RN Professional Development Specialist Clinical Academy/Emergency Department. This position can sit from any Providence state approved location within the US.

The RN Professional Development Specialist Clinical Academy/Emergency will be responsible for the learning design of experiential learning activities (ELA). This role will support the assessment, development, implementation, evaluation and refinement of ELA through innovation and technology learning components for courses within the Clinical Academy Specialty. The RN Professional Development Specialist is accountable for supporting learning and instructional design, as well as consultation on training, intervention skill-based learning (aka skills labs), virtual case-based client care (aka simulation).


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited nursing program.

  • Unencumbered RN license in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered.

  • Ten (10) or more years in Nursing or equivalent experience in related field.

  • Five (5) years of Clinical Nursing Education/Professional Development experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in nursing or related professional development field.

  • National certification in area of specialty, unless otherwise indicated.

  • One (1) year experience in virtual learning.

  • Three (3) months certification: Nursing Professional Development.

  • Effective interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.
