Providence Senior Patient Scheduler in Missoula, Montana
Description
The Senior Patient Scheduler is responsible for coordinating various complex Imaging and Medical procedures )i.e. Interventional, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, etc., Anesthesia) by obtaining appropriate exam information, specialized equipment/resources and implant and current/historical medical information (ICD coding, medical history, including allergies and patient demographic profile). Complexity of this position is evidenced by the use of intermediate and complex medical terminology and precise scheduling protocols to ensure compliance. The Senior Patient Scheduler must obtain all critical information needed to correctly and efficiently schedule and process imaging procedures and must be able to work in a fast-paced, close-quarters, high call volume environment. Must have the ability to utilize multiple computer applications (electronic medical record, scheduling software, network drives, reporting systems and/or PACS) to schedule multiple exams within multiple departments and entities. Must obtain and manage all physician orders in a timely efficient manner. Responsible for coordinating care for patients in need of procedures such as CT ablations, Anesthesia cases and Condition and Non-conditional Cardiac Implanted Electronic Device (CEID) MRI cases. These types of cases require a higher level of care, which includes obtaining pertinent surgical and implant history, coordinating vendor reps and surgical services, obtaining approvals from mulitple involved partiies and more.

Required Qualifications:
1 year Medical scheduling experience preferably in Diagnostic Imaging.
4 years Medical clerical experience.
1 year Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Course work in business or office practices
