Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Division. We are looking for a Inventory Specialist to join our growing team. You must have excellent customer service skills along with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner. Direct customer contact, build strong customer relationships; assist with order status, research and resolve all customer questions, complaints, and disputes relating to billing.

  • Manage the customer invoicing process; resolve vendor invoicing issues with billing and/or vendors, approve all customer invoices prior to release, manage customer disputes, research and provide solutions to customer issues.

  • Enter inventory data and orders into Epicor system, manage order fulfillment, utilize vendor websites for ordering and grower licensing, manage customer prepays and vendor prepays, ensure all record keeping is up-to-date. Learn all C-store and farm store product & programs.

  • Coordinate customer delivery and pick-up, coordinate vendor shipments, resolve shipment disputes, unload and organize product shipments

  • Understand the business functions of sales team and assist the team in improving the efficiency and profitability of the location.

  • Follow through with sales team, customers, and vendors as it relates to all programs.

  • Ensure that federal and state regulations pertaining to chemical, fertilizers, and seed are observed and adhered to.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Work extended hours to meet business demands.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • 1+ years experience in Supply Chain and/or Procurement

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to customers and coworkers

  • Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment such as, but not limited to, cash register, time and record keeping computer systems

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Economics, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Systems Engineering, Statistics or in a related field.

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Retail experience

  • Knowledge of C-store and Farm store products

Physical Requirements

Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Able to operate forklift and pallet jack
