Job Summary:

Come join our diverse clinical team of Behavioral Health Therapists in a thriving community mental health setting. We are seeking creative, strengths focused clinicians who believe in the importance of wellness in regards to behavioral health, and a person with a desire to help people reach their full potential.

At WMMHC, our treatment is guided by a core philosophy: Treat to Outcome, which means that we are committed to positive treatment outcomes for our clients throughout the entire recovery process. Clinicians are given the opportunity to provide evidence-based treatments to clients of all ages seeking care for mental illness (SDMI/SED), substance abuse disorder, medication management and crisis services in the outpatient, community and residential setting. Our clinicians work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of medication management providers, care coordinators and support staff to provide effective interventions and mutual support to one another while treating those who seek our care. Our goal is always to provide the best possible behavioral health services to the community while creating a supportive atmosphere for our staff.

The WMMHC Behavioral Health Therapist will have the opportunity to work both in-person and remote positions. The therapist’s primary responsibilities include providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, crisis counseling, treatment planning, progress monitoring, maintaining clinical documentation and support services for a diverse caseload including adults, adolescents, and families experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict. They are deeply familiar with other services and resources within the community and work closely with them to provide information and support when required.

WMMHC therapist’s may provide therapeutic care to clients in the office outpatient setting, remotely via telehealth services, in schools, in community including client’s homes, in group homes or in one of our 6 crisis facilities dependent upon the position you are hired for.

Current openings in Missoula


  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Psychology

  • LCSW, LCPC, or Candidate License

  • One year of progressively responsible post graduate experience in a community health center or similar setting

  • Ability to pass background check and driver’s license check upon offer of employment.

  • Provide proof of auto liability insurance coverage per Western’s policies.

  • Montana Driver’s License with good driving record
